The Howler provides transport for a mountain bike and its rider to the top of the Barrows chair for access to the Emerald Mountain trail system. These trails are not patrolled, and users ride at their own risk. Mountain bikers must have a bike helmet to load the lift. Mountain bikers must only ride on open trails and must obey all trail signs and advisories. For more trail information and maps, visit the City of Steamboat Springs website.
Weather conditions may affect operating hours. Individuals under 18 years of age must have a Liability Release Form signed by a parent or legal guardian in order to ride the Howler Alpine Slide. All others, 18 years of age and older, must sign a Liability Release Form. Children under the age of 2 are not permitted on the slide. You may sign the online waiver and show your confirmation email at the ticket office to save time.
