THE HOWLER ALPINE SLIDE

Enjoy scenic views of downtown Steamboat Springs as you ride a chairlift to the top of historic Howelsen Hill. You are in control of your ride as you wind down a 2,400-foot track through the bends and curves of the natural landscape.

Proceeds from The Howler Alpine Slide benefit the young athletes of Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.

FAQs

Commonly asked questions, we have an answer for you!

Weather conditions may affect operating hours. Individuals under 18 years of age must have a Liability Release Form signed by a parent or legal guardian in order to ride the Howler Alpine Slide. All others, 18 years of age and older, must sign a Liability Release Form. Children under the age of 2 are not permitted on the slide. You may sign the online waiver and show your confirmation email at the ticket office to save time.

The Alpine Slide is always a must when we visit Steamboat. The entire family will ride the slide and it is so much fun!! Love the view as you are riding up. Perfect opportunity to take pictures. Our kids will ride multiple times.

So much fun!!  Beautiful view, fun ride up the ski lift and back down the slide. My daughter wasn't too sure she wanted to do it but has the best time!!!
